All I have to say is the ignition system on the GA16DE
is good enough stock. I was able to run for about a
mile(thats when I heard a loud clicking under the hood
and decided to pull over) with one of the spark plugs
disconnected.  The plug wire was about an inch from
the distributor cap and it still had enough power to
fire across the gap.  If I hadn't heard the clicking I
wouldn't have known it was disconnected, because my
engine was running perfectly.  I know if you tried
that in most cars your engine would run like crap, so
I wouldn't worry about upgrading it unless your
planning something extreme (like a turbo).
