Being as I don't know much of anything when it comes to getting around
New England, I'm not even going to try to organize an entire meet for
the list. I can however bring the idea up...hehehe.
I know of about 6 or so members here in New England, and I'm sure that
there is a couple more that would be willing to make the drive for a
little beer, good times, and showing off their ride.
Being as there is another meet the weekend after I would like to help
organize, I don't expect a huge gathering. There is something organizing
on the SE-R list today, and that got me to thinking of how many of you
suggested that we have a meet a couple of months ago.
Anyways, I am taking the week of my birthday off, so this gives me a
window of 11 days that I don't have to work (I love my schedule). Oct
16th to the 26th is my vacation, I would like to try to schedule
something somewhere in that time (minus the 21st b/c I will have plans
that day according to my g/f), so that leaves me 10 days. More than
enough time.
I am not interested in making this an "auto-x" or "drag" meet. Just
something to basically say good bye to summer, hello Ole Man Winter, and
get to meet some of the list members and check out some cars. If someone
else would like to make this more complicated, they are welcome to.
Anyways, I have got the idea rolling. Let's see what we can put together
guys. I think this can be a lot of fun, no matter how many of us can
come. Hell, if there only turns out to be me, Tom B., and Chris T. (the
only ones I could think of off the top of my head that live close), than
that's fine with me :-) I think it would be kool if we could get a car
from each of the "B1X"s tho.
Anyways, I'm rambling. Anyone else care to do this on that weekend?
