Yeah, no kidding. My roommate's girlfriend just bought a '00 civic Si after
totaling her Integra, and while it is a nice car, it's just so damn generic.
I mean really, there is just nothing special about these cars at all--except
for their *massive* aftermarket support, which no other car enjoys. If
Nissans had that kind of part availability, damn, everyone would be driving
an SE-R. They are just so much more intelligently designed than the Hondas,
in terms of power potential--I mean, c'mon, Hondas still use speed/density
sensors! Even freakin' Ford quit using those back in the 80's! Look at Jamie
Farrar (sp?)--without any sponsorship at all, he built a low-10 sec SE-R in
his garage, which is about to be a high-9 sec car, and cost him probably
less than 10K all in all. He *smoked* the Venom-sponsored Civic--this is the
same car which, when featured in SCC, the main point of the article was them
going on about how their mods tripled the price of the car--and at press
time it was still only in the 11's! What a piece of crap!

Getting way too worked up,
JWolfe
