Subject: Re: SML: SABB TURBO ON A SENTRA
HEY MY FRIEND SOLD ME A 95 900 SABB TURBO, DUAL TURBINE I WAS LIKE SO IF I
CAN GET THIS TO FIT, I'LL BUY IT, SO AFTER LOOKING AT IT AND SEEING WERE I
COULD PLACE IT, I FOUND THAT I COULD MOUNT IT, HOW EVER WOULD HAVE TO GO
THROUGH ABOUT $800 WORTH FOR MODS TO MY CAR, SO DOES ANY ONE THINK THIS IS
A GOOD IDEA?
THANKS
DANIEL
Daniel,
It will make some good power, however there are a lot of things that
come in to play with a turbo! As you have found out you need to either
modify the manifold or have a custom one made! Next you have to decide
weather or not to use an IC. You also have to do the piping and resolve the
fuel supply issues! Turbo's are a tricky thing, they can yield huge results
if done properly. Another thing to take into account is that turbo's are
designed for specific motors, they have specific turbine sizes and trims to
match the motor they are installed on. A turbo will work on any car,
however it it may not work as efficiently as it is supposed to! I would say
it's well worth it, just do more research before you jump into it! It
sounds like you are at the beginning stages of learning about turbo's so
read everything you can and talk with people who know! Hope this helps.
late,
wes
