Well, in my opinion ... From a drag racing perspective, especially on FWD cars ... you want to keep as much of the weight as possible to the drive wheels ... for any drag car, you want to minimize any type of weight transfer from front to rear as the car is launched. so one way to reduce weight transfer is to have the front sit lower than the rear. As for not drag racing perspective I' not sure about that really... people just like the "raked" look ... my front is a tad bit lower than the rear... mainly because I need more suspension travel in the rear as compared to the front.
