I have to put in my 2 cents worth about Team Nismo. Let me say that this
message is not meant to be inflammatory toward Team Nismo at large, nor is
it to start a flame war. It is simply my opinion about what happened:
My friend and I went to NOPI this year. His maxima was in the shop, so
he rode with me. I didn't show, because except for the rims that I took off
my Sentra, my 200SX is stock. A major part of our trip was going to be
meeting the guys from Team Nismo because here in Alabama, the only thing
more nonexistent than well done imports is well done Nissans.
Well, we were able to get a room at the same place as the rest of Team
Nismo, which we thought was great, because we didn't have reservations, and
had no idea how to get around Hotlanta at all. At first they were all nice
and everything, but it didn't last for very long.
My friend is not the coolest guy in the world and he has an even larger
southern drawl than I do. When some of the Team Nismo guys started getting
tired of him, they (mainly Rob) started making fun of him. (I didn't really
feel insulted in that way, but I could tell that we were being ignored, and
I didn't like the way they were treating him.) Also the Saturday that we
were supposed to all ride together, they didn't bother to tell us that they
were leaving. Luckily we woke up around the same time as they did. Neither
one of us felt accepted. The only time we were a part of the conversation,
was when we started it.
Not only that, but my friend and I almost got our asses kicked because of
them (they explanation why is kind of long and I'm sure the half of you that
made it this far are getting bored.) By the time Sunday rolled around, it
was clear that we were not really welcome as a part of Team Nismo, we were
only tolerated.
So, the whole point to what I'm trying to say is that unless you just
absolutely have the most wonderful mods done to your car, or you are a cool
person, you probably won't feel welcomed riding with Team Nismo. This is not
to say that everyone there will shun you, but the ones that do will ruin it.

> I really hope a lot of you guys/girls can make it. If you are planning on
going, please e-mail Rob ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] ) and let him know. We are
trying to get everyone together early around 6pm so we can roll in and park
together. Let Rob know if you're up to it!!
