SML: fuel pump

i tackeld my fuel pump again but i think i may have a problem. inside the 
tank their are two hoses. one from the pump that goes to the cover and 
another from somewhere i cant see that also goes to the cover. i forgot to 
mark the hoses to know where they go. i did start the car and it did run. i 
made it run for bout 3 minutes. anyone have any ideas . the haynes doesnt 
give any detail. later tony
