I'm still very much interested in the procedure followed by Kenichi for cleaning the
combustion chamber. But I can't help but think, assuming there is hard baked on carbon
on the piston tops etc. and you are able to dislodge this with a long soak of
combustion chamber cleaner, where does all this carbon go? In to the oil pan? If so
wouldn't it just clog oil galleries as soon as the engine is started? Even draining
the oil after wards, might not get rid of the larger chunks of carbon, because the oil
getting drained is cold, and very viscous. If it stays in the combustion chamber,
wouldn't it just re-stick to the pistons as soon as the engine goes through a few heat
cycles. I'm not trying to shoot down the method, just gain a better understanding of
how it works. Also did you replace the spark plugs back in the holes after filling
them with cleaner? And how much did you use? Also was the engine warm when you did it?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just sick and tired of my chr!
