I don't post to this list too much because I'm stationed overseas and I don't get to do as much to my car as I would if I was in the states. Basically I've been an SML "voyeur" for almost 2 years and I can't thank all of you enough. Enough BS, now to my idea. I've noticed most of our posts are the who, what, where, when, and how much questions about modifications, both cosmetic and performance. If we added a database with the combined characteristics of the aftermarket parts database and the classifieds we would be able to post small reviews of parts we've added to our cars. From windshield wipers to turbos. We could use a similar form as to the classifieds or the owner's registry with the basics (What it is, How much you paid, Where you bought it, When, and most importantly what you think of it). Then if anyone is thinking about upgrading something, which we all are at every single moment, you just look up the reviews that all of the listmembers have left. This would be especially beneficial to new listmembers and they won't get screamed at to look through 500 posts with the keywords "cold air intake" just to find out a price. I don't know how much work this would be, I'm guessing a lot at first but it would almost run itself after setup, and I volunteer to help in any way possible. The only problem is I'm not too bright on the whole webpage thing. Let the flames begin!! Good or bad, private or to the list, send your thoughts. Like any of you need an invitation to do that.
