This way off for the list But I've been wondering are you guys/gals back east
noticing that your road departments seem to be getting ready for a harder
than normal winter??? I live up in the Laguna Mountains (4000 ft to 7000ft
levels) of Easter San Diego Ca and our local Cal Trans (road dept.) is
putting up lots of sand bags, water diverters, sand bagging around storm
drains, dug and installed extra drains and has filled up all the sand storage
hoppers used when it snows and has extra skip loaders/dump trucks parked in
it's storage lots. I asked a road dept. employee I know about this and he
said he and other employees also thought it was weird they were having to
take all these extra measures and didn't have any other info about it other
than the orders to do all this extra work had come down from the top boss in
Sacramento Ca, and when he was asked by middle management about it they were
told not to worry about it but to get it done before the start of winter.
