My 99 car which got 17k miles is getting exremely bad mileage for it's age.
I'm only getting 23mpg. I used fuel injector cleaners 5k miles ago but seems
to not help. I was wondering if just pouring in a "complete fuel system
cleaner" would help? What is the difference between fuel system cleaner and
fuel injector cleaners? Is it just the label of the bottle cuz I think if
fuel injector cleaner cleans the injectors, then the detergent will also go
throught the intake valves and enter the combustion chamber and clean
everything else just like the fuel system cleaners. Is it harmful to use
fuel system cleaners on new cars cuz I heard it's bad to use fuel injector
cleaners. Also does anyone know which brand is good? I bought the STP one.
has anyone heard of it? I heard redline has some super strong fuel system
cleaners.
Plz give me some tips guyz but I don't think I need to use Kennichi's method
though cuz the car is too new. Thanx
