Hi, thanks for the good words (from everyone, esp. Kenichi), finally (after 4 days of struggling) I made it (I hope no further dripping - I finished it an hour ago). The reasons were: - faulty/bad quality sealant (damn!) - after the 3rd attempt I tried a different one and that worked - the other one stayed fluid soft even after 24hours of drying, and I think was simply washed out by water - so old hose that I had to re-position the clamp till I was able to stop dripping (the thick hose at the thermostat housing - is it possible to replace it at all ? - it goes to somewhere in the middle and I was unable to access to it) So much lime and dirt was developed on it that when I tried to remove (pull off) the thermostat cover from the hose, it simply broke! (the metal thermostat cover, so I had to grab another one from a junkyard and silicone-spray the hose for several hours to detach the broken part.) So I think I learned something again :) Tivadar
