SML: 2nd gear is kinda rough

Hi I have a Quick shift short throw shifter on my 200sx se (98)
now i know that habing a short throw makes shifting tight and lil more
effort to shift but when i go from 1st to second its kinda not smooth... im
pretty sure its not grinding... but it just doesnt feel right.. I dunno if
anyone else has had this problem or not but just wanted to see what you guys
can do.. thanks
