I've got the same problem, feels like it grinds just a little from 1st to
2nd, but theres no noise or other evidence of a gear grind. I've got a gear
box full of redline mt-90 so I know it's not that. Probably just the 183,000
miles, and the fact that 1st to 2nd is probably the most frequent shift in
normal driving. Think about it,most of us cruise in 3rd or 4th in the city,
5th on the highway, which means the 4th and 5th gear synchro-cones don't see
that much action, but how many of us spend our time driving around in first
and don't shift out of it right away to second. Basic wear and tear... L8r,
