On a RWD car, the downforce from the spoiler helps plant the drive wheels at
high speeds. on a FWD car, they're pointless unless coupled with an effective
front spoiler/air dam in which case the whole car is getting sucked to the
ground, making it more stable. I have a touring style wing on my car, and
it's just for looks. The downforce from that thing make it kinda scary to
drive at high speeds since it's taking weight off the drive wheels.
