Does your car look stupid? That's pretty much the determining factor.
There's a difference between a car that is obviously cared for and made to
look nicer than it did from the factory and a car that is made up to look
like a fucking anime clown should be driving it. Do you have silly-assed
banners all over your car? Is it slammed to the ground? Do you have a 5"
inch tip? Do you have stickers from companies whose parts have never been on
your car? Do you have 19" wheels?
Going for show is one thing. Going for the "I-wanna-be-a-Korean-pimp" look
is quite another. Which one are you?
