SML: easy windsheild replacement

i just did the windsheild on my 88 last weekend because some bonehead cop 
wrote me ticket. anyway my 91 also needs one and i have the new one. i got 
the 88's out by prying around the frame with a screw driver but i scratched 
the paint on the outside. this cant happen with my 91! i tried framing wire 
but it breaks too fast. i was thinking of a thin knife but cant find one 
anywhere. any suggestions?
