Well i got a few things finished this morning. I replaced the seal on
the shifter input for the second time, threw in some Redline MT90 while
I was there. I got all 4 ES motor mounts put in. I had 4 new tires
thrown on, with and alignment and my AGX's. Then I took my '91 out for
a nice ride to strech her legs. All I can say is that my enjoyment of
the ride increased 3 fold today. I was expecting a lil more with the
MT90, but it is easier to down shift now. and a lil bit smother
upshifts. I know it's better to evaluate one mod at a time, but i don't
care I like the group I did together. I like the feel of my SE-R now.
The ride is not harsh. I would say it is much more responsive and
comunicative to the driver without being punishing. I love the motor
mounts, they give me exactly what I was looking for. coupled with the
short shift kit I recently did, and the AGX's my car no linger lunges at
take of and upshifts. The ride feel very connected to the road, just
what I've been looking for. I will probably play with the settings on
the AGX's a lil more, I am still on stock springs, but waiting to get
the custom ones from the GD. I have them set at 1/2 F/R respectively.
There is more engine feedback notticable through the sound and
vibrations through the cab. I don't mind at all. There are additional
harminics and a new or more pronounced resonance at ~4k. Idle is a lil
annoying, but I dig it. Overall I am very happy. There is much more
precision and authority with the movements of the car, now just to get
the car to stop the same, and I'll be ready for power mods. Thanks to
everyone who helped me chose my mods and previous pilots who have
researched them. I am happy with the route I'm taking. The archives
are a great tool. If you read this far sorry for the rant.
