I don't believe that the torque converter is going to add any horsepower
to your car, but if I understand the function of it, it WILL add a more
positive (read: quicker) shift to your automatic.

Thankfully, age does not determine how much you know, or love, your car.
IMHO, imports are a fun way to break into the car scene. The Hondas and
Nissans of the Import world are the cheaper way in, and once you get
hooked, the Lexus, Acura (not really an import), and even some of the
Italian makers will start to seep into your blood :-)

If your dad owns a shop, learn all you can from him. If you don't
currently work for him during the warm months, I would suggest it. Not
only will it help with your knowledge, but spending time with family on
something that both of you love is awsome.

Sounds like your dad knows what he is doing. I would suggest that the
both of you comb the websites of some of the list members and see what
you can find. Lots of us have done lots of things to our cars.
The archives of Sentra.net and SE-R.net maybe your best sourse for
knowledge. Lots of knowledgable ppl with lots of experience with these
cars.

You have the '92, so when you get the new cams in, you might be able to
sell the old ones to one of the list members. I know the '92 SE-R cams
are supposed to be better than the current ones, what is the vertict of
the Sentra cams? Do they do the same things guys?
