I don't think so.... Not sure where you came to that conclusion but I don't
think heat has much effect on the plug wires or reducing the "power" of the
spark. Never heard of anything like heat interrupting electricity before.
Although heat does increase the resistance of a conductor slightly. I doubt
it would have much or any effect with pinging either. Don't think it would
have much effect on preignition either. Or, atleast I don't see how it
would.
