You know something.....Mike has got to be one of the most patient ppl I
have ever encountered. I think today I have seen him make the same post
(in different words each time) about 1k times.
Mike, I truly don't know how you do it. I have had to stop myself about
10 times today from making a "Are you F@cking stupid or what" post from
ppl not listening to what you have to say.....
One of Us: "Will the dilly-whopper make more horse power?"
Mike: "No. Under no circumstances will the Dilly-Whopper make more
horsepower."
One of us: "Ok, but what if I hook a hoosie-whats-it to it? Would it
make more power then?"
Mike: "No. I tried hooking a DC Sports, TRD, Nismo, and Hotshot
Hoosie-whats-it to the dilly-whopper and it made no difference on the
dyno at all. It is a complete waste of money."
One of us: "Well, I drive a 5-speed. Does that make a difference?"
Mike: "No. Again, the dilly-whopper adds no performance to your car AT
ALL!!!!!!!"
One of us: "Well, what if I drive an automatic?"
I mean, cummon ppl...."No" means "No", not "Maybe". I'm sure that if
there were certain circumstances in Mike's answers, he would let us
know. We have a true gift in having an honest to God guru (published at
that) on our list. Please listen to what he says.
This is not to say that he is the last voice that should be listened to
when it comes to doing things that are on the "major mods" list, but
when it comes to common mods to our cars (intake, exhaust, ECU, etc) and
what they will do, Mike it pretty much the man. He's tried most
everything with his "bum dyno" and his computer dyno, and had at least a
day or two of schooling on most of the subjects we bring up.
And when we bring things up that he might think needs further
investigation, he usually leads us in the right direction to find the
answers.
I know Mike would never say any of this, even if he was thinking it, but
seeing the same questions with the same answers 10 times a day is
getting old.....especially when most of the answers are in the damn
archives!
Sorry about the rant....it might have been uncalled for, but I felt it
needed to be said.
