SML: o2 sensor on max

i just brought the maxima to the dealership.
turn out the service engine soon light came out to be an O2 sensor.
how long should the sensor last?
because its only been through 47000 miles.
i think its time to get a fsm for the max, o2 sensor cost me $230 to
change!!!
