<<should I put these on and how low should I set these so these struts
last atleast 30,000 miles?>>

I'm sure anything is better than stock right now :-)

Maybe it would be a good idea that:

1). Once the new shocks/struts are on the car, and before you set the
car back on the ground, max the ride height out so that it sits as high
as possible

2). Drive around for a couple of days

3). Lower the car about an inch, do some more driving to let the new
springs settle.

If you aren't satisfied with the ride height after this, lower the car
1/4 of an inch and try that out. I wouldn't suggest anything lower than
1.5 inches lower than stock height. After that, you are on your own. I
don't think the GR2s can take any more than that, but I've never had
them on my car b4, and I wouldn't put coilovers on my car unless I went
with one of the "high dollar" set-ups.

For me, right now, I love the height, the feel of the car, and the
smooth-ness of the ride. I'm very satisfied with my choice in brands and
set-up. If you would like to read more on how my car is set up, the Nov.
issue of SOLM has most of the details.

As far as the 30k mile thing, I don't know. I guess it would depend on
the road conditions where you live and how hard you hit the potholes,
speedbumps, and curbs. Take it easy on the suspension and it will last
you at least until you can afford to do something better.

All of this is my opinion. I'm sure the more "suspension educated" LMs
will be able to tell you if this post is Spider Monkey poo or not.

Well I purchased some new KYB GR2's for $200 today...I figure they will be pretty good
for now.I also got some stiffer rate springd for my coilovers in the rear. When I put
on my coilovers it seemed as though there wasn't room to put in toe strut sleeve and
bumpstops..should I put these on and how low should I set these so these struts last
atleast 30,000 miles?
Thanx for teaching me a few things,
