No more so than a straight-through muffler, which is basically what a Cherry
Bomb is. It's got a perforated core, not louvered. I might be losing 1/2 HP,
maybe--not exactly a big deal in any case. It should quiet my exhaust a lot,
judging from what I have read in the archives, which is what I really need.
I am tired of attracting so much attention when I decide to accelerate
quickly or cruise in a low gear--the loud exhaust was kinda cool for a
while, but I do a lot of highway driving now, and I can't take much more of
the droning at speed.
