JET chips for Nissans are a fraud. They socket your box and put a STOCK
chip back in. We read the code on a JET ECU, did a file compare and were
amazed to find this. We tested a JET chip car at one of our SERCA dyno days
and it sucked, no difference.
Hypertech did the same for their Chevy chip and found the same sort of BS
although they did solder a resistor to the coolent temp line to fool the ecu
to think that the water temp was colder so the motor could run richer. I
think when they dynoed it, it had less than stock hp!
When SCC tested their Probe chip, it made less power than stock, probably
becuase it just had the resistor trick also.
Do not buy these chips. I don't know for sure about what they do for other
brands of cars, but their Nissan stuff is BS.
I used to be afriad to speak out on this because I don't want to get sued,
but now we have evidence, and I feel that I should try to warn people with
Nissans.
