That was a major point of my tirade, Tony. Not only do we see the same
questions over and over again on the list, which is annoying enough, but in
the larger perspective, there does not seem to be much willingness to
*think* about why certain things don't work and others do. I mean, when you
boil it down, this is a list about applied engineering, and it bothers me to
see people ask esentially the same question over and over without thinking
about the principles responsible for the results. I don't expect everyone on
the list to be a freakin' rocket scientist, but if you are going to try to
make your car faster and perform better, then it seems pretty obvious that
you should have a basic understanding of physics and some engineering
principles and a willingness to learn, and I just don't see that much on
this list, with some notable expections of course. Again, I'm not dissing
the list, but I suppose that anyone really serious about building a fast
Nissan would have started out with an SE-R in the first place, and so that's
why the SE-R list has so many more highly experienced and knowledgable
members.
I plan to stay on this list, and I will help anyone out when I can, but I
*really* hope that the quality of the list will improve and the general
level of knowledge will increase.
