SML: Mushy brakes

Anyone notice that the brakes get all mushy once the engine is started and
the brake booster working? The brakes feel good and solid with the engine
off, however. The brake pedal height is low as well when it should be higher
than the accelerator pedal when fully pressed. I've already bled my brakes
so I can't figure this one out, brake fluid level is good as well.
