Actually the CIVIC Type-R from my understanding is a modified hatchback version of the
Si-R. Actually it is a step higher than the SiR in terms of horsepower. hp is @ 182 @
7800 rpm and and 116 lb. ft. of torque @ 7300 rpm. i am not quite sure whether if it
is a 2 liter engine or a 1.6 liter engine. actually if you want to acquire one, you
must do what yohann did. Import it from japan. because from my understanding, it is
only assembled there in Japan and is available there only. you'll have to import it
from japan to enjoy these cars. About the Si and the SiR, from my understanding, they
are actually the same. it is only that they are being marketed on different countries
thats why they are on different packaging. here in the philippinesit i SiR but there
in the US it is Si. both have 160 hp motors. but actually in japan it has a 167 hp
motor. actually i envy people living in japan because they have access to these
wonderful cars. and actually for you to have access to these!
cars, you'll have to have just what the guy said, mad hookups or connections. good to
know that the carmakers import them there in your area. unlike here in the phils.
you'll have to import them personally or place an order to the carmaker so that you'll
have access to the cars.
