Nope. You'll end up with Hydro-Lock. Almost as bad.

I have. It just depends on how heavy the rains are where you live.

I'd say about 90% of the time,you shouldn't have to worry. It's only when
you have to encounter deep puddles or heavy rainfall that you'll want to
short-stack the CAI.
