you need a compression meter first, Sears has them.  You screw this into the 
plug holes, crank the motor as shown in the manual specs and that guage will 
show the cylinders at the TDC.  You really need a Factory Nissan manual to 
see what the process is on the GA, but its not hard, diconnect the spark, not 
the battery and you crank the motor until it hits a pressure before the 
vlaves open.  This should read a pressure and if you have good compression, 
the readings will be near spec as shown in the manual.  I can dig it out and 
see what it says if you like.
