Maybe he is only lowering the front for drag racing. Since the car is front
wheel drive, it is better to keep more weight on those wheels to reduce
wheel spin. Stiff springs in the rear would reduce weight transfer to the
rear of the car which can cause loss of traction. I don't know about
everyday driving though. Wouldn't the combination of stiff springs and a
higher rear end cause oversteer?
