Yes, the 205/50/15s will fit on your OE 15" wheel. I have OE SE-R wheels on
my car right now and almost went with your choice in size/profile except I
was offered 2 195/55 new-used tires for dirt cheap. As for what choice in
tire, I really can't offer any solid advice. I have Dunlop SP Sport W10s (2
new in the front) and they actually perform worse in the snow/ice than my
stock 13s did. One thing to look out for would be tread pattern. The SP
Sport W10s have large flat blocks of tread with very few grooves/channels
thus being a lot more slippery on snow/ice. (There is a tech term for
it...forgot) I would suggest to check out tirerack.com. They have excellent
descriptions on tires and their recommended uses. More than likely, you'll
probably end up with a Michelin or something not specifically geared toward
high performance just based on your requirements. Hope this helps and good
