He is dead right. The "reducer"/collar thingy (technical term for ya...) is 
a royal PITA to get loose from the old sensor. It took me and a friend 
several minutes of straining and grunting to break mine loose. I changed the 
O2 in a friends 94 SE recently, and his may as well have been welded on--the 
collar absolutely would not budge, even after heating it with a propane 
torch (which is a fairly effective trick, if you haven't tried it). I ended 
up just giving him my old collar, since I have headers that are threaded so 
that the sensor goes directly in.
