No. When the car was not stalling the idle seemed ok.

The biggest loss seemed to come when getting the car back up to speed after
sitting at stop signs.

Yeah, it's the e16i. You have to take a cap off the the top of the throttle
body
and look down and there it is. I guess you have to pull it out then but the
top of it
sure does look dang easy to damage, especially if it doesnt want to come out
easily.

well, I'm not sure.
