plug wires? To tell you the truth it does nothing with horsepower!......What
these aftermarkets are trying to sell is the wire's electrical conductive
properties and it's reliability with respect to it's applications....
here are some basic facts about electricity and electric conductors:
*electrical conductors when subject to heat.....will reduce the amount of
voltage passing through that conductor....In electronics we call that Voltage
drop! bare in mind that all electrical conductors has voltage drop....and
this depends of what kind of metals you use as a electrical
conductor.....The best electrical conductor we use here on earth is
Gold.....second is SILVER...... and the latter is the COPPER....the cheapest
of all!..........GOLD being the best.....it has almost no Voltage drop! or
almost zero electrical resistance.
*the fatter wire you have or bigger wire diameter u have.......the better
electrical flow.
*the cooler wires ..........the less voltage drop u have....this helps
maintaining proper voltage delivery to your spark plugs!
*conductors not designed or exceeds it's voltage and current
capacity.....generates heat........remember heat is bad for conductors! Ever
wonder why Intel pentiumIII processors have big ass heat sinks and
fans?......we want conductors to be cool as possible....
*HEAT drains electrical power!.......if u dont believe me ! try this......
----get a digital volt meter measure your battery's current voltage
reading......then do the same thing with your car heater ON in maximum
position.....you'll see the difference!
