Haven't we discussed this before? Here's why that 106 number doesn't mean 
crap--

1)That 106 to the wheels represents only peak horsepower. Doesn't say 
anything about horsepower elsewhere in the powerband, nor anything at all 
about torque. Peak numbers don't really mean shit--how often do you drive 
around at a constant 5900rpm? Far, *far* more important is total area under 
the power curve (take the derivative of the equation defining the power 
curve), which is why an SE-R can smoke a lot of cars which have more peak 
horsepower--the SE-R makes a ton of torque throughout the entire powerband, 
thus getting it up to those peak power figures quicker.

2)Dynos are not consistent. There are different varieties of dynos and 
different methods for using them. Some have different ranges of optimal 
accuracy than others. So if two cars have very similar ratings, but were 
measured on different dynos, you probably can't say anything conclusive 
about which car has more power--there are other variables affecting the 
outcome.
