I think it could be.  I noticed that on my old 97 200SX, it wouldn't do it.  
However, on my 123K mile 92 SE-R, the motor mounts were ripped and cracked, 
and my "loose" engine made the entire car jerk back and off when letting off 
the throttle.  Putting the ES inserts got rid of this.
