Well after a full day of troubleshooting my stereo I have come to the conclusion that both of my amps are bad. The front speaker amp is now starting to smell like burning resistors and such, and the sub amp has something moving around inside. Both were making high pitched noise when hooked to the front speakers and lowm pitch rumbling and thumping when hooked to the subs. I hooked up an old LA sounds amp I had laying around and the problem was cured. I checked and rechecked all of my grounds throughout the car and all were fine. No ground problem, no RCA problem, no wire problem. Im more than sure now that the amps are bad. Its kinda frustrating because the amps are less than 2 years old. :( . So goes life... Anyone have any Ideas on what types of amps I should get now? Im looking for about 100watts x 2 For the fronts and 500-800W x 1 for the subs.
