Use a plier and grasp the rubber hose right above the part where the metal
nipple of the fuel filter is. Then use a twist and pull motion to break the
hose. After a while the rubber just seems to make a bond and stick to the
filter. Don't forget to put a rag over the hose when using the pliers, don't
want to damage the hose either.
