Stock struts are fine; just search around for the best price. I put some
KYB GR-2s in my '91 and didn't notice that they were dramatically better (or
worse) than generic struts. Most auto parts places carry Monroe as
replacements; I have those in the front and they are fine. They should cost
about $40 a pair. Unless you are lowering your car or something fancy this
is the way to go.

I own a '91 Sentra SE, and the shocks and struts are noisy and old. Does
anybody have any recommendations of what I should replace them with? I wish

I could, but I don't want to get an expensive set. I just need some that
will be comfy and safe in the winter and summer. I was thinking about
getting Monroe shocks, but I'm not sure. Any recommendations would be
great.
