Greetings ALL. I am the proud new owner of a 1992 NX 1600. The car is black, with the T-roof, 5 Speed. I am the 3rd owner. The car was bought new in Alabama, and the original owner put approx 125,000 miles on it. At some point the rear antenna came off the glass one time too many, and an aftermarket antenna was added to the front right fender. Currently the car has 142,000 miles on it. When I bought it, it had a dead miss, but still ran fairly strong. After a tune-up, (Plugs looked to be the originals!!) It runs out VERY strong. Several small problems have been fixed, (heater blower worked on HIGH or not at all, broken trim, ect), the 2 problems I have left are the fact that the right side Headlamp doesn't work on HIGH. Replaced the bulb, and the socket, and it has 12 volts there, but it will not burn the bulb. Works fine on Low...any ideas? (I am thinking that the wire between the headlamp is either corrodded, or broken almost in two at some point). The other problem is a leaking water pump (no biggie). My main question at this point is how to restore the wide moldings on the lower part of the car, and the belt moldings. At this point I am thinking of painting them Satin Black....any other ideas here?
