Swain coatings makes a flow coat for the back of valves that seems to reduce
carbon deposits and allows the air to then flow good for many miles. Maybe a
coating of this type would work, but I had my plenum extrude honed and it
really made the thing smooth, took all the casting flash out of the seams and
took all roughness out of the ports. This may help when a turbo is used or
high compression at high RPM when air is really sucked in.
