After 145,000 miles, I believe on original timing chain, its time for a new
one. I talked to my mechanic and showed me that it is 11.8 hours labor! At
$65 an hour thats over 750 buck! Ouch. And he also showed me that my front
crankcase seal was leaking (probably from one of the multiple times i've
dented my oil pan... oops). So he said that there is another $100. And the
he said something about the cams and he said that then would be the best
time to put in cams. He told me he would do the timing chain, crankcase
seal, and put in cams for 500 bucks, plus parts. Now i'm pretty sure thats
a good deal, but I was wondering if anybody out there has changed their
timing chain? If so how hard was it? Do you recommend it? Are there any
write-ups on how to do it w/pics? I would like to do this myself and save
the 500 bucks but i'm not sure if its worth the hassle.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

come out!)
