What viscosity oil are you using? How cold does it get wher you are?
Oil can be slow to flow when its cold outside, so it maybe not be the
tensioner at all if the sound goes away once the oil light goes out.
Try a lighter viscosity oil next time and see how that goes before
attempting the tensioner replacement or even buying new parts for that
matter.
I hear a little rattle too until the oil pressure builds, but I use Mobil 1
now and don't hear start-up clatter anymore.
