I looked at the block. They have girdles on the main bearing caps that hold
1 and 2 and 3-4 together. Its not like the SR20 setup with that great block
girdle, but it looks good enough. I am going to rebuild the bottom end with
a good balance on the crank, pistons, rods. Thats the weak part. The block
itself is iron and seems to be OK. The block is not open deck like the
hondas are. The block looks strong, but since I have not built a GA yet, I
have no idea about this. Mike K may be able to reflect on this.
