Did a GA16DE clutch. Wasn't that big a deal. Certainly it was more difficult than doing a Volvo clutch, which I could (and did) do over my lunch hour. But that was back when holding the weight of a Borg-Warner 4-speed manual while hoping for the splines to engage the clutch disc was no big deal, either. -----Original Message----- From: Simma Down Na [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, March 16, 2001 9:34 PM To: Sentra Mailing List Subject: SML: Clutch job! Guys, Me and another guy from the SE-R.net just got done putting a clutch in his car. Let me tell you guys that haven't done it: DON'T TRY IT BY YOURSELF!!! I'd always seen it done and thought it would be "relatively" easy. Took us most of yesterday to take of the damn thing, and took us most of the day today to put in back on (and we actually had all the tools!). But I must say that it was educational and I learned how to install a clutch on a SR20 (which will come in handy on my own DET install!!!). But next time, I'll be the one instructing, not doing. Hard, Hard, Hard. The three words that describe it well! For all you guys that have done it, I feel your pain. And for all you guys that want to do it, I feel for you. Now that its done, I guess I join the crowd of instructors rather than the questioning people. If anyone has any questions, I'll be more than happy to help, just ask.
