I have the first gen hotshot header and I have had no problems with
this. They gave me no front pipe with this header. It was the top and
bottom section only. I had to use the tiny stock front pipe when I
originally installed it. I called them up and asked why they did not have a
front pipe with the flex pipe like the SR20 header, and they told me all the
parts were there. I replaced the front pipe with a 2 1/4 pipe custom bent
and he installed the spring loaded bolts. I have no cracking in any weld
joints and the gaskets never blew out. Maybe there is enough flex with the
rubber hangers to give a little. So, the new hotshot header now has a front
pipe to the converter with flex pipe? Too bad it didn't happen years ago.
