Mike I thinks its just the common conception of the import scene.
Seems people want to accessorize their cars to match their
personalities rather then make them faster, handle or stop better.

I get all the time from people "When are you going to get new wheels?"
My response is when I have $1500K just laying around doing nothing and
I can't find something to make any of the cars go faster, handle or
stop better. I don't see that ever happening.

As for Window tinting I can say that I personally do like it for a
number of reasons.

1.) Security you can put something in the back seat of your car and not
worry about someone being able to see whats there.

2.) Safety like I said on the SE-R list its a crapshoot that tint can
prevent injury in an accident because the tint remains attached to the
film.

3.) It keeps the car cooler. Prevents fabrics and all other materials
in the car from discoloring. You should see my seat belts on
the 338,000 mile SE-R.

4.) Stealthy you can look outside the car w/o people knowing what
your looking at. Kinda like dark sunglasses. I think you know
what I mean. :) Plus you can do stuff on the inside and people
can't see what you're doing. :)

I can say that *NO-ONE* looks at me when I'm driving the
98 Sentra SE or the NX2000 because they are both tinted. But when I
drive the SE-R everyone and their brother is looking at me. Not sure
why but its the truth.
