I don't remember exactly but for a '91 rack it was about $300; that was two
years ago. Find a good shop and check out their prices. But it still
sounds like the pump, to me. The thing is, if your rack has enough trash in
it to screw it up, the pump is probably going to be dead too. And vice
versa, maybe.

Here's the long and painful story. Originally, I took my car into get the
pump replaced, because it was loud and turning required severe muscles.
But, Advance Auto Parts sold me the wrong one, and the mechanics weren't
able to source another. I had to leave town, so the put the old one on, and
flushed everything. THE CAR WORKED FINE!!! For about 3 weeks, now it's
back to this crap.
How much to rebuild racks cost? How about a new pump? BTW, I know if I
need parts, I should go through Courtesy Nissan.
