Do not do that, you may damage your engine! The only way to set your timing is through proper procedures using a timing light. By the type of questions you are asking, it is best that you buy a service manual and study that first. Don't start randomly adjusting things without knowing what they do. By just turning your distributor, you can detonate your motor damaging it. Read the tech section under engine tuning on sentra.net carefuly and understand it.
